OpenOffice's "Draw" program...
Oct. 2nd, 2006 04:48 pmSo... I've only tried to play around with this a little bit, and I have a question that OO's help section doesn't seem to answer:
How do you make a Sphreroid?
The instructions say to hold down the shift key while dragging with the cursor. But when I try that, it just makes a regular circle, and when I click on the 3-d icon, it makes a cylander.
Has anyone here made spheres with OpenOffice Draw?

Date: 2006-10-03 07:22 am (UTC)Click on little triangle to the right of the 3d icon. You should get a selection of 3d objects: cube, sphere, cylinder, etc. Click on the sphere.
You should do this *before* you try to draw the sphere.
To draw a sphere, click and drag in the appropriate place. While you're dragging, you'll see a wire-frame cube, but it will turn into a sphere when you let go of the mouse button.
To draw a spheroid, hold down shift while you click and drag.
