I seem to have lost my skrenzying mojo (attn: [personal profile] lizziebelle)

I started this week 21/2 days ahead in my word count. As of this moment, I am 21/2 days behind.

This means I've spent nearly a week on a single scene, and I'm sick of it. But I have to slog through it to get to the rest of my script, with some new stuff, exciting stuff in it (unlike some writers, I find it diffecult to skip around in the story). It also didn't help that there was a massive, energy-sapping heat wave in the middle of this week, that hit right at the peak of my PMS (Sorry, F'list men, if this is TMI).

And Meh. This Meh and Slogginess has happened during both Nanos about this far the way through, so I'm not panicking that I'm failing, yet. But still...

So: to [livejournal.com profile] lizziebelle: I think I'm going to beg off chat, tonight. I could show up, but I think I'd be so distracted that I won't have much to talk about...

And now, a Poll:

Screnzy betaing

I'm more than happy to beta for people, and am also looking for someone to beta my script at some point as well.

I'll be glad to return the favor when the time comes...

I've done NaNo for two years, and I think this is the first time (this late in the month, anyway), that I'm seriously considering polishing my work beyond the roughest of drafts. ...Probably because we were encouraged to plan it out ahead of time, and I actually have a sense of my story as a whole entity.

(I'll likely go slow on the revisions, though -- maybe setting aside a few hours once or twice a week, instead of every day. So have no idea wheen that Beta-Time will come)

That's quite all right... we're under a thunderstorm watch here anyway, so I might not be able to be online.

Happy Midsummer, and good luck with the script!

Thank you! Hope you made it through the storm okay.

And that you had a good Midsummer night. ...No Trouble with Fairies, I hope!

Luckily, the storms mostly passed us by. :)

And the fairies were strangely quiet!

I answered no because I suck at beta-ing, I know it looks a bit rude as a straight forward no, but I won't waste your time and pretend that I'll ever manage such a thing no. I LOVE THAT YOU ARE DOING THIS, THOUGH. ::DANCES YOU:: x

Not rude at all. That's why I asked.

I know Critiquing can be akward. It would be more awkward if I dropped it in your lap (so to speak) and said: "Betanaoplz!"

I said yes, I would beta for format and basic clarity. :-)
