Earlier tonight, I wrote:
But what I am trying to do is write in all the SLUGLINES (when-and-where shorthand) and Action (as in actual people moving around), and just marking where I want dialog.
What I want is to at least have all the basic pieces in place between where I am and where I want my FADE OUT to be.
I gave up on action and marking dialog around 10 pm.... I know I have a few more minutes, and I didn't have to cut and paste my thing in until 11:59. But I've been up since 7 am. My chair needs charging. And my brain is mush.
But at least I have all my sluglines in, leading up to my Fade Out....
Something that's a bit discouraging, though, from the congratulatory letter they send to the winners:
Finally, if you haven't made a donation to Script Frenzy, please visit our Donation Station. So far, we've received donations from less than 5% of our Frenzies, and we're looking at a lot of unpaid bills. If you want Script Frenzy to return next year, please make a tax-deducible, karma-enriching donation today.
(My hypothesis is that one reason their donation rate is slow is that the majority of participants for this have been teens under the age of 18, who simply don't have access to a credit card, in order to donate.)
Don't know what they can do about that... But I hope they come up with something. 'Cause I'd hate to see the first Skrenzy be the last one, too...
Huzzah!

But why don't you have the wherewithal?

Nod.
I'm working on actually putting in the dialog and such this week, finishing the draft and then polishing. One reason I'm able to stick this through to the polishing stage is that I actually have an audience person I want to send it to, when it's done.
Good luck catching up!
