This is how I found that out.

Okay, so I'm sitting at the kitchen table this morning, reading, and Manda (one of my kitties) is sitting there, too, in a patch of sunlight, probably half asleep, when all of a sudden, I let loose with one of my infamous sneezes (of the sort that earned me the nickname "hurricane Annie" in grade school).

Manda-bear's eyes went something like this:

O.O

And her ears went in different directions, the way they do when a cat is surprised. Sorry to say, I giggled at this. Then I prattled on in my most soothing, kittycat/baby voice about how "That was sure one heck of a sneeze, wasn't it."

I felt another tickle in my nose, and said: "Oop! Here comes another one."

And Manda dove for cover behind the radio.

I must have laughed for a minute straight.

No more sneezes.

*laughs*

I remember when I was sitting with Josie on my lap one morning, and Tom was sitting on the floor nearby. He suddenly sneezed, and Josie *flew* off my lap and looked at Tom like he'd exploded or something.

I said, "Tom! You blew the cat away!"

:D

That sounds like the premise for a Monty Python script -- if Monty Python were still going of course...

People who explode whenever they sneeze...

...Unless it already is a Monty Python sketch...
