Perusing said blog got me to wondering what other Something-a-Day an artist might endeavor to explore, and if I should be such an artist.

Duly noted. Of course, there could be an almost infinite set of options for this sort of thing, depending on which (if any) Boulean (SP?!) qualifiers you wish to throw around.
