*Breaks into an old Richard Rogers tune*

There's a blue smoky haze o'er the treetops.
There's an itch in my throat,
And a tear in my eye!
And we need six good inches of rain from the sky!!
Just a note, for when you click the link: there are wildfires currently burning at both the points labled "B" and "C." But you won't see them reported on the national news, because the fires are all underground, at the roots of the trees, and in the mouldering leaf litter in the humus (so they don't look like anything), and no homes are threatened. But the air quality is "Code Orange" here, today.
The Google Map of what I'm going on about
BTW, the fire in North Carolina has been burning since June 1st.

Date: 2008-06-26 01:49 am (UTC)I'm blaming you for the fact that I've had that song in my head for at least an hour now. Thank god I don't know all the words or it'd be driving me totally nuts ;) Which brings me to your icon, which reminds me of another favorite quote from that same book: "Would it save you a lot of time if I just gave up and went mad now?"
Hmm. Don't think I have a small copy of HHG anymore, since I got the trilogy. Bummer. Be a great, fun read for the train...
