1. Pizza Vera, my favorite, local, independently-owned, pizza place, is back in business!



2. Pizza Vera version #2, is now owned by a former employee.



3. The new owner was, back in the day, my favorite of all the delivery people (if I was the last delivery on her route, that night, she would pause for a few minutes of chat before she left, and she has a sense of humor).



4. I know all this because she stopped by the house to deliver the new menu, with the new phone number, in person, and she actually waited until I answered the door, rather than just sticking the menu on the doorknob.



5. She also told me that of their old customers, they only accepted personal checks from three people, and I'm one of them (grins a broad ego-boo smile)
