It depends on attention, namely views, unique views, and clicks, to "survive," but, after reading the FAQ, there doesn't seem to be any set formula.

Survival or death, in this case, is of course, entirely pretend.

My poor little hatchling has only a day to finish growing to maturity. I've not decided yet whether to "freeze" her at the point of death or just let her go peacefully into the night. Though she might get enough views by then.

What does she need most to correct the balance? And how can you tell if she is, in fact, in the process of maturing?

Haven't a clue re: needed for balance. Probably just needs more unique views. Clicks probably wouldn't hurt.

I think the sentence changes/image changes when maturing - they say something about developing wings. This is merely speculation from what I've seen in other hatchlings.

Right. For all we know, there will be no change until wings suddenly appear. :-/
