Um... I seem to have started a blog...
Dec. 1st, 2009 06:21 pmAs in a "real," "Stand-alone," blog for polished writings, with a focused subject, instead of just a place to post my rambling thoughts about whatever (which is what LiveJournal and DreamWidth are for).
I'm doing through Blogger/Google, because that's the platform of the blog I was reading when the thought "It's time to do this," floated through my head, and I clicked on "Create a blog." (It seems I already had a google account set up, too, and just forgot about it, so...)
Its primary focus will be personal, favorite, folktales, and musings on the same. I may start with stories that I've already redacted, like the ones I did for my collection Circle 'Round the Hearth, and tie them into the seasons.
And a secondary subject will be musings on individual words and phrases; I figure that will be my backup in case I am feeling blocked or stumped for a new story to post -- just visit the dictionary, and pull up a word or phrase to talk about. Because there's always a word for something. And there's usually an obscure-ish definition that adds subliminal nuance to its use, etc., etc..
I've disabled linking and google searching for now, because I'm still in the process of setting it up, and it's not yet ready for prime time. I'll change that when I'm ready, and post a link to it here.
I still haven't even settled on a title I really like... Hmmm.
