Here's the first prompt I put up for
what_if*
I really don't like the use of "their" with "a person." But using "her or his" in its place made the whole thing sound like a legal notification letter.
I haven't started writing anything, myself, for this prompt... That's what I may do tonight, if the britcoms on PBS are unsatisfactory.
*I decided to forego starting up an LJ version, for now... I may still do so, later, but with this being my first attempt at being a fic-comm moderator, I'd rater start out with a smaller crowd.

What if a person dreamt of their house, and woke to find that their real house had rearranged itself to match its dream-version?

Date: 2010-09-12 12:24 am (UTC)I'd be more wary, myself, especially since my dreams are quite often a direct reflection of my anxieties. I'd hate to wake up, and find it completely inaccessible.
OTOH, having a house built with nanobots, that could change its interior shapes as I needed (raising and lowering grab bars, shortening the distance to the toilet, etc.)? Now, that would be abso-fricking-lutely awesome!
