Oh! And Yay!! Dad called yesterday afternoon and suggested that if renting a wheelchair van to go across country to attend the Gallifrey One convention in February is too expensive, we should just buy a new one and drive that instead.
We're going to have to get a new van anyway, since the one I have now is at least 17 years old, and falling apart at the seams (example: the AC died this summer, and the cost of repair was more than the trade-in value, and during the Thanksgiving trip, the alternater failed and the universal joint had to be replaced before we could drive it any further ... who knows what else is failing on it?)
So yay! That's one more hurdle between me and Gally (and the biggest) gone!!
And when I get there, I'll return all your hugs for real...
