Thank you!! I was thinking our two pieces complimented each other well, but I didn't want to say so before my piece was actually up (I still had to finish and scan my illos.).

Yes, it's not as if I don't talk about the Social Model every chance I get ;)

There's at least a couple more work well with mine, 'I’m an academic in a wheelchair – why is it so difficult?' and Goldfish's own 'Legitimate Disability' piece.

Well, I was thinking specifically of the shame angle..

Took me a surprisingly long time to see what you meant - it was obvious as soon as I re-read your piece, but for some reason when I looked at mine I couldn't frame the negativity as shame. It is, you're right, but for some reason it's not a word my mind was using for it. Weird.

Discrimination, I think. I can be very literal at times.
