Whenever I'm feeling angsty, stressed, bored, or simply don't know quite what to do with myself, I go to Look and Feel's "Make-Flake" site and distact that part of my brain with making as complex a snowflake as I can.

And here it is: Green Man

My brain must still be leaking ideas from that Art Garden piece I just finisted, by the look of it... Now, maybe I can figure out how to make this into a holiday door decoration...

Your snowflake is beautiful:):) (but the link to the site is just taking me back to whichever page I'm on at the time...)

Very cool green man! I can never make such elaborate snowflakes on that site. Don't have the patience, I think. ;)

Happy Turkey Day!

thankee. And yes, I think it is mostly patience: making one snip at a time, previewing, going back to cut some more, and so on, until it is done. If I recall correctly, I started with the leaf in the top of his head, then the other leaves; I went in to do the veins after I'd done the outlines. then I did the nose, eyebrows, and eyes (Each with a separate cut). The beard was the trickiest, because by then, I was getting down to the pointy end, and was running out of room. Took many tries to get the beard right.

I'm not sure whether being good at these snowflakes means you have abundance of skill, or lack of a life!

I'd never have this kind of patience for a real paper snowflake, where I'd have to cut through 12 layers of paper, and have to start all over from the beginning if I made a mistake (and clean up the mess when I was done).

We're having a slow day in the office and this was the perfect timewaster! I sent it to everyone in my office and we all stood around each other's computers and tried it over and over...thanks for sharing it!

Glad I could be of help! ...Though I don't think of it as a "timewaster" (as far as I'm concerned, any time spent being creative is not wasted. Think of it as getting a head start on your holidays. You could save the files to your computers, and use them in making homemade cards, for example, or use them to decorate packages, or as templates in making holiday ornaments....
