Well, it's amazing what a good night's sleep will do...

Talked to my dad again last night, and he'd changed his mind about coming down for my birthday on Sunday (I was actually born after the fifth episode of the Daleks... not the second... do I need to turn in my anorak, now?). Turns out that it won't be as cold as they said it was going to be on Saturday night, and there may be more storms coming the following week, but not this one, so he figured he'd better take advantage of the oportunity while it was there.

Besides. he said, if you start off the New Year by putting things off, you'll never catch up...

I'm glad, really. Because I was waiting for him to come down before sharing some of my pressies with him -- more fun, that way, if you ask me. :-)
