So I didn't want to waste the first time I've felt alert all day by going to sleep. I will go to sleep right after this post, though.
Because it's been so hot, and my computer is so old, I turned off my computer and tried to do something unplugged with my time.
And lo! I drew things:

ballpoint pen drawing of a monster with a vaguely human shaped torso, arms, and legs, with a long neck, large bird head, and dragon's tail.

ballpoint pen drawing of a dumpy-shaped shaggy monster with big eyes, big nose, and a pair of erect, spiraling horns.
I may be asking for name suggestions in the not too distant future...

Date: 2012-06-30 05:24 pm (UTC)As for the hair: Probably because my relationship with my own feet is so patchy and uncertain (since my top half and bottom half have communication difficulties), I have the hardest time deciding what I want for my monster's hind ends. That first monster went about a half dozen poses and species' feet before I settled on what you see there. And I was about to go down the same route with the second monster. Then, the trickster part of my brain came up with a solution.
*which could be how "warty-nosed witches" became such a strong visual meme

Date: 2012-07-01 07:15 pm (UTC)Back a few years ago, I thought I might do something similar to Dinosaur Comics, but with a trio of different monsters, and different backdrops drawn in for each strip.
...And maybe use hard copies as my stationary for family letters at "The Holidays."
But the idea kind of fell through, because I couldn't decide on what the monsters' points of view were.
But working through my Monster Challenges cycle has given me ideas, and learning how to turn still pictures into video has given me a format...
